*Please note that natural brass is a bendable metal, so take care when putting on and removing earrings. (Apply backs in a corkscrew fashion.) If they do get accidentally bent, simply bend back to the original shape.
Care and Cleaning...
Handmade jewelry is delicate by comparison to mass produced items, therefore special care should be used when cleaning. Rough cut gemstones should be cleaned with a mild soap/lukewarm water dilution. Avoid use of a brush, if possible, as it may scratch the surface of the stone. Opt for a soft polishing cloth. Follow this same process for wood, painted brass or other hard elements.
Leather elements should be wiped with a damp cloth, moistened with water only.
Natural brass will develop a characteristic patina over time that adds to the character of the piece. If you prefer a less rustic look--a simple paste of baking soda/water, applied gently with a soft cloth, then gently rinsed with luke warm water, will help restore the metal to it's original look. Use care to avoid getting the paste on gemstones, as it may scratch the surface of certain stones.
Allow all pieces to dry thoroughly on a flat surface before wearing.
